Access to Hotels and Conference Site:
Detailed explanations

Some meeting attendants mentioned us that it would be difficult for them to reach hotels from Kansai International Airport (KIX) and the conference site from the hotels. For this, our officcial tour agency named Kinki Nihon Tourist Co. has faxed registered attendants the train network in Kansai area and a necessary and sufficient travel information. We try to develop "lonely travel helper" for you.

Note 1: If you would loose your way, you could make a phonecall to the hotel you are going to stay by public (pay) telephone. The phone number is in the parensis above.

Note 2: Our staffs will help you at Senri Chuo Station from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the 15th, Sunday. You can find the staffs who are wearing a white t-shirt with the IMPS LOGO when you need help.

Social Programs

1. Optional Tour for Nara on 20th
We have received 60 applications to this tour, which are over the bus capacity of 45. The organizing committee has decided to hire two buses for the tour. Now, there are 30 vacancies, and we are happy to receive more applications. For those who are interested in this tour, please download the application form and email or fax it after filling out.

2. Accompanying persons (spouses and children)
Name badges are provided for persons who accompany registered attendants. Please ask for a name badge at the reception desk. Accompanying persons with a name badge can visit anywhere in the Convention Center. Accompanying persons are welcome to join the Excursion and Banquet scheduled on the afternoon of the 18th. Please pay 10,000JPY for each accompanying person at the reception desk by the 17th noon.

3. Special program for accompanying persons on 17th
Tea ceremony (2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) is held in the Japanese (tatami) room in the Convention Center (conference site). A teacher of tea ceremony is coming to show how to perform tea ceremony and teaches you how to do it. You have to register at the reception desk. Free of charge.

4. Special program for accompanying persons on 19th
A tour for the Osaka Castle (1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) is planned. The Osaka Castle was built about 400 years ago and the most fascinating place in Osaka. Persons who join the tour have to come to the entrance hall at the Convention Center (conference site) by 1:00 p.m. and the tour will depart at 1:00 p.m. A few collage students will take you to the castle. If there is time, you can visit Kuromon-Ichiba or Tsutenkaku. 3,000JPY for adult and 2,000JPY for child including bus and train fare. Those who want to join this tour have to reserve and pay at the reception desk by the 17th evening.
